Smt. P. Susheela was awarded with Shri Raghupathy Venkiah Award by
Hon. Chief Minister of AP Mr.Chandrababu Naidu during the Nandhi Awards
Presentation by Andra Pradesh Govt. in a gala function held in Hyderabad.

Veteran Kannada Actor Dr.Shri Rajkumar, Legendary Actress Dr. Smt P.Bhanumathi,
and Legendary Singer Dr. Smt P.Susheela. Dr. Rajkumar and Dr. Bhanumathi were
awarded with Shri NTR national Award.
The members of the JURY were Dr.Akkineni Nageshwararao, Dr.C.NArayanareddy,K
.Raghavendrarao
Dr. Rajkumar Spoke about his experience with Late Shri.N.T.Rama Rao, Shri. A.
Nageswara Rao. Dr. Bhanumathi wished Shri. Chandrababu Naidu to become CM again
and also praised people of Andhra. Smt. P. Susheela showed her respect to Bhanumathi
by falling at her feet.
Smt. P. Susheela was offered to speak; she started with praising Smt. Bhanumathi
.
She said she used to sing Smt. Bhanumathi's songs and also mentioned about the
films Chandi rani, Bhakta Duruva Markandeya. She sang a line from Kannatali showing
her hand towards Dr.NAgeshwararo. She also spoke about Shri. N.T. Rama Rao and
sang a line from one of his films.
When she sang, the audience enjoyed every bit of it, particularly
award winners Shri.Chiranjeevi, Shri.Nagarjuna, Ms.Bhanupriya.
She also thanked all producers and music directors who gave her chance and
made her to this position.
Shri. Chandrababu Naidu praised Smt. P. Susheela by saying taht there was a
time when there were no films without PS's songs. He praised Smt. Bhanumathi
and Dr. Raajkumar also..
Smt. P. Susheela feels this as a great honour.
